Our Vision...
The BRAIN Big and Little Buddy program envisions expanding its reach by involving more therapists to offer inclusive classes across multiple school districts. Our goal is to create a widespread culture of acceptance and belonging for children on the autism spectrum. As we grow, we aim to integrate community events, particularly during Autism Awareness Month, to further promote education, advocacy, and meaningful connections among students, families, and educators. Through continued collaboration and innovation, we strive to build a future where inclusivity is the norm in every school and community.
...And the Mission.
The BRAIN Big and Little Buddy program (Building Respect for Autism Inclusiveness Now) is dedicated to fostering acceptance, inclusivity, and belonging for children on the autism spectrum. Through engaging after-school courses, we empower 5th-grade students to develop a deeper understanding of neurodiversity by exploring concepts of diversity, acceptance, and respect. Our program integrates play-based learning, guided by occupational therapists and preschool educators, to create meaningful peer interactions that build empathy, social connections, and lifelong advocacy for inclusivity.
